I want to intro my favourite new food place which is Saybons @ plaza singapura basement, which serves both food and dessert crepes, I had the nutella & banana crepe which is fabulous, I am craving for it since! Everyone should try!!!

today WW and me went to Hort Park for a hike. we hiked all the way from Hort Park to Vivo, through Mount Faber. about 5plus km in total. the physical ache is killing both of us now (in fact he's asleep already now!). the hike's totally worth it because it's perfect exercise for the weekend, and i really feel i need to shed some kilos.

while he is asleep, i went on facebook. seeing an uni friend who just had her 1st baby, and some friends who have so much going on in their lives and those who have hundreds of friends, all these made me a little lonely. it seems as if everyone is thoroughly enjoying themselves, with so much activities going on in their lives and some just seem so blissful.

do i seem boring to those who come upon my profile? actually, in reality i feel really contented and blissful. only that i dont bother to update my fb profile or post photos up.

so i went to ask WW, if he will love me forever. he said yes. this is enough for me.

Alf is 2yrs old!

my darling Alf is 2 years and 1 day old today!

He is really cute and pampered by us and I really love 3 of his actions - 1 is that he will insist on a belly rub whenever anyone from the family comes back home. he will lie on his back and expose his furry belly for us to rub. if we dont give him some pampering, he will keep barking at us. a little video to show you all:

the second action is that he will do a little stretch of his body and hands! really cute and he does this at the most unexpected moments:

the third is really hard to capture, and i will try to get one of those videos up for you all to see. he will do a little butt rubbing on his own. he will sit on his butt and pull himself across the floor for about a few minutes. it's really funny coz it means that his butt is itchy!

yesterday my mum celebrated his bday by giving him a chicken drumstick. i think he has no idea whether it was his bday or my mum was in a good mood.

i told WW that i wish he will remain as cute as he is now, even if he gets older and older. happy birthday to Prince Alf and to Princess XW too (if she happens to ever stump upon my blog...haha)!!

yesterday was a fun-filled day for me and WW! we went to Jurong Bird Park in the morning, i have to say the bird park has changed a lot since the last time i went (which was in primary school). it is very much fun! the zoo still wins, but bird park's animal shows are very good too, we especially liked the Birds and Buddies show.

after the bird park, we went to watch Red Cliff 2 - which i really anticipated for a long time! for someone like me who has really limited chinese history, i have to admit i never like to watch any show regarding the 3 kingdoms before. but red cliff has totally changed that! very exciting and it makes me inspired to maybe watch a 84-episode china serial about the story of the 3 kingdoms.

after the movie, it was dinner time for XW's bday celebration at Okinawan restaurant at tanglin shopping centre. food's not bad, but the portions are small! the beer is really good and cheap too (if you order before 7). and then, dessert at PS cafe!

it was day of indulgence and actvities, so much so that i felt a little sick at the end of the day - no thanks to my flu!

no such thing as recession

there is no such thing as: recession, economic downturn, retrenchment!

today me & cp went to LV to get her 2009 agenda paper, it took 20mins for someone to attend to us. it was madness, this time of the year is the same as last year's, there is absolute no sign of economic downturn at all. people are buying and spending their bonuses away - which helps the economy back right?

the LV salesperson says they dont have commissions, so i wonder what is their scheme like? is their only advantage of working in LV the personalised LV stuff that they can get? coz i only know that they will get discounts off the stuff they buy, but it has to be tagged with their initials to prevent them from selling it off.

i was saying to cp that i think i can make a good salesperson for LV and possibly make big money. or maybe miu miu? imagine all my miu mius lining up my wardrobe!!! possible career switch for me!

today seems exceptionally long at work...really tired and no mood to work.
i'm glad it's over and here comes tuesday.

everyday is a countdown to the weekend, monday..tuesday..wednesday...thursday..friday (finally!). but the weekend comes and goes SO quickly, there is just no way to completely savour the happiness of 'just doing nothing'.

now i'm counting down until this coming friday!

i was supposed to post this last sat..as promised to *lovedust..but i got lazy, so sorry! if you see this, leave a msg ya?

i will not give up this blog, even though i seldom write so dont worry guys :)
it's just that i dunno what to write about mostly, so that caused a bit of writer's block over this year.

i also dont want to become one of those who writes about their lives everyday as if a drama is unfolding in their lives everyday. most of all, i dont want to write about my sad and emotional thoughts, coz that will worry people and it's not in my character to open up to everyone.

some updates that had happened to me in the past month:
1. i have started my new job last month. back at tanjong pagar, near amoy street. i love that market, and i often buy lunch back to office - esp niang dou fu, chicken rice, nasi lemak, desserts (my fav is sea cococut with jelly).

work on the whole is great, as i love the jobscope. i still have to do sales, but no need to find new business. i only need to manage a set of key accounts. it's a US company but it's doing well despite the current economic situation. i think i may be able to stick around here for a while.

2. i have been sick since last sunday! i fell victim to the flu virus - definitely a mutated one as it has been bugging me for a full week already. i lost some of my voice, have a sniffling nose and not feeling good as a whole. i infected WW..and hope he will be well soon.

3. i can't wait for Christmas! it's got a wonderful festive mood that one cannot possibly miss. even though i dont celebrate it with faith, I love the entire gift-exchanging and receiving and the parties and gatherings with friends and close loves..i hope xw's party will be awesome!

4. after Christmas, it will be 2009 very soon! new aims, resolutions (which CP will need to turn over a new leaf again) and a brand new year. i always love the entire 'changing oneself for the better' mood which comes with the new year. i hope some wonderful things will happen in 2009 :)

i had a fabulous weekend! and it was really FAB coz i went shopping and spent a lot of dosh!! and i don't mean a few hundred, it was a couple of thousands. however, considering it was my first time in 5 years of my working life that i actually spent so much at a single boutique in singapore, it is a worthwhile investment right?

on sat, i bought this:

i was contemplating many brands - LV, Miu Miu, Prada, Loewe, Kate Spade, but i eventually picked the princess of the brands - Miu Miu. i settled on black and this oversized gathered leather tote as it was a classic, made of calfskin which is stronger than lambskin (as cecilia advised), roomy, versatile (it comes with a shoulder strap) and i can possibly carry this for the rest of my life. it's my first expensive bag investment, and though i cannot say if it will be the last, i love this to death and i think i will be seen everyday with it, so you can laugh at me about it!

and also this - which cecilia also bought! that makes 2 of us who have this handphone charm in singapore. it only comes in 2 pieces of each colour of this design, so that makes the BFF in 2 of us.

today i cried because i was so touched....

because WW gave me this for our 1st year anniversary....

i love it so much! other than it is a fingerprint magnet, the functions are wonderful. it looks so good and i love the functions - as always, i love the calendar to record all my meetings & schedule and the TouchFlo 3D is so cool!

i definitely love this more than the much-hyped i-phone which was my initial choice. i love the Diamond! :)

catching up on those little moments

the last month, when hiromi was here in sg, we had lots of fun together. we went to the night safari (where she absolutely loved the tapir & cecilia awed us with her bravery in the scary darkness), and of course, we ate and went shopping.

despite me not being a tourist, i spent a lot! on shu uemura makeup (blusher Peach 47, highlighter Peach 42 and pony hair makeup brush no. 14) and my current fav accessory - my pair of agnes b earrings.

the earrings are meant for a present for MYSELF. thus, when the shopman asked if it's to be gift-wrapped, i said YES without hesitation. they even come with a agnes b polishing cloth! i'm so in love with agnes b :)

it's finally the weekend!

it has been a really long week and i've been waiting to be released from agony since tuesday. totally not an exaggeration!

for the rest of june, i think i will be feeling like this, as it is the end of the quarter! god, i hate end of quarters! but the good thing is, it means that maybe this one last dash will bring me nearer to more sales.

Upon Cecilia's request, here are some photos from Red Dot Brewhouse @ Dempsey where i celebrated my 27th birthday. Received wonderful birthday presents! Got an Agnis b wallet and Kino vouchers, sunflowers and a lovely strawberry shortcake. All in all, a small celebration where the company was worth millions...thanks to all my loved ones :)

And, i finally went to Bangkok in late March! Swa-ku as it sounds, if you know me, i have this phobia about going to Bangkok after some horror story told by Huiwen - her friend friend's girlfriend was driven off in the tuk-tuk and never found!! now, you cannot blame me for being so afraid to go to this really scary place, right? :P

however, Bangkok turns out to be so much fun! especially since i went with my dear WW and his group of friends. we even went clubbing at the local club - RCA on the night before we came back home. Bangkok is really a land of bargaining, you must really use the 50% rule when shopping at the markets there!!

after Bangkok, it was back to rainy and now VERY sunny Singapore. Sunny is not too good when travelling on the bike since i am prone to heatstroke. but rainy is not good coz we can't travel on the bike! a dilemma, but of coz i do prefer sunny to rainy days anytime, it's happier!

hi all, i've came back to maintaining my blog. i've been lazy, sorry :)

it's been a long time and let's start with my (early) birthday celebration yesterday with my parents & WW. i had a hard time deciding on where to go for my celebration and on the thought of not wanting to leave Alf out, I decided to bring all of us to Pawtobello cafe @ Mohd Sultan Rd. i've read about this cafe before but didn't have a chance to go. my mum was really excited coz Alf is her sweetheart and pampers him so much that she was so relieved not having to leave Alf at home alone.

he had Lhasa Apso Lamb (small appetite) - what a high-class name!

*fyi, he didn't finish! despite the exotic name of his dish! clever him only ate the lamb bits and left the brown rice untouched.

and here's my birthday cake my parents bought. yes, if you notice, my name is spelt wrongly, the 'y' is missing! my mum insists it's the lady who spelt wrongly, but i think it's herself who made the mistake! but, the thought is more important...hehe...so we all laughed it off.

generally, we felt that the food was ok, but we were very impressed with the decor of this cafe and the best thing is that we could dine with Alf. he had a wonderful experience, coz he met a female westie there about an hour after we reached. but the westie's owner wasn't too friendly, so Alf didn't make a girlfriend :(

on the rest of the bits and pieces of my life, i wanna share this new doughnut place @ Raffles City called J Co Donuts with you all. the doughnuts here are really fresh and very lovely looking. my colleagues all agreed that theirs is way fresher than Doughnut Factory's and most of the other chain doughnut stores. do have a try!

i also wanna share a very cute sakura-scented incense holder from Taka last weekend. the rabbit which holds the incense is super cute lo!

and, i wanna 'show off' my birthday present to myself - the new Anna Sui blotter case ($30). i bought this with the birthday vouchers my colleagues got me. much hype has been brought to this with cozycot, it has become one of those items i've been lured to lock in my wishlist. it's a little big for my makeup pouch but the case is really Anna-Sui typically pretty. the blotter sheets are really cute too, they're purple colour imprinted with butterflies and the Anna Sui logo. refill for the Anna Sui blotters is $9, but the case fits perfectly well with Clean & Clear's as well.

If you haven't been there, go check it out! They have all the latest makeup and skincare news here. If you are as addicted to the wonderful world of beauty, I'm sure you will enjoy yourself lots here. I chanced upon this website through purchasing their magazine at Kino. I think it has lots of good updates, news and tips. I particularly love their online makeup videos. I can surf this website for ages. I hope you will like it as much as I do!

iLuv: Rouge Bunny Rouge!!!

I finally gave in to the Rouge Bunny Rouge temptations today!! I just wanna scream: Everything is so nice at that counter!!!! I wanted to buy so many stuff but I had to restrict myself from spending like crazy at one shot.

After weeks of contemplating what products to get exactly, I finally decided to get their Aqua Primer, aptly named 'Prelude in the Clouds' & 2 of their Longlasting Eye Shadow in 'Alabaster Starling' and 'Delicate Hummingbird'. Just look at the names that are given to their products!! My heart practically melted as I tried on the shimmery dark violet Hummingbird on my hand. The colour is so beautiful, I can just imagine how lovely it will look when layered on multiple coats.

Talking about babies, here's a pre-xmas present from WW. He got me an iLuv! He complains that my Philips player is too ugly and that I needed something contemporary to go with my soon-to-be revamped bedroom (which is to be in Jan). I love iLuv! It plays from my ipod & charges it, acts as an alarm which I can wake up to the radio or to my ipod music, it's sleek-looking and the sound system is not too bad. After weeks of searching for an ideal ipod player, I decided on my 1st love, iLuv :)

'The Holiday'

This time, last year, a Christmas-sy movie was showing in the cinemas - The Holiday. Starring Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet & Jack Black, it has a stellar cast - charming Jude was the one main attraction that I remembered most when I saw the trailer in the theatres then. I didn't watch it at that time, as I did not have a habit of watching shows with a Christmas-sy theme.

However, at the most unlikely time, I watched The Holiday on the plane back from Taiwan to Singapore in May earlier this year. It was supposed to be a romantic comedy, but I cried for most parts of the show, and yes, I cried on the plane. Here is why:

CP came back to Singapore from Hokkaido with wonderful gifts. She got a delicious souvenir called Shiroi Koibito:

Shiroi Koibito - This is the famous Shiroi Koibito representative of Hokkaido, born from Ishiya Seika's excellent techniques and passion for confectionary. The soft flavored white chocolate sandwiched in fragrant "langue de chat" cookies (white type) after its first production in 1976 it has been enjoyed by many customers and was awarded by the Suisse Monde Selection in 1986. - taken from the Shiroi Koibito online shop.

In simple terms: two pieces of thin but crisp cookies with a slice of white chocolate (that is thicker than both pieces of cookies combined), sandwiched between them.

It's really delicious!! Something that should be sold in Singapore too, although I can imagine how expensive it would be if it's sold here. Talking about Japan, how can I miss out on asking her to buy makeup for me?! She managed to get me the latest items from Majolica Majorca's new Winter 'Frozen Eyes' collection!

Catching on the Japan craze, I finally got the chance to go to Yamazawa grocery store at Central, it's a store where they sell lots of Japan foodstuff like biscuits, cakes, chocolates, etc. It's not as big and grand as I imagined but it did bring quite a few pleasant surprises for me when I discovered what they sell and I bought some food goodies from there as well - Morinaga Chocolate Chip cookies (which me & CP finished on the spot), Moonlight mini butter cookies also from Morinaga and Tohato (the same brand that gives us Caramel Corn) Raisin cookies. The Morinaga cookies are very tasteful, something that I'll go back to buy. But the raisin cookies didn't turn out the way I thought it is, it's actually a little bitter and soft. Lucky I bought the small pack..haha. I still prefer the good-old Khong Guan Sultana biscuits.

Blythe Fever & Sonny Angel

It's Friday again! :)

Went to town with WW after work to relax, I really wanted to watch Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium but the timing was very weird, Shaw's 7.15pm slot was all fully booked (we suspect it's being reserved for a function) and 11.20pm slot was too late. SO...we ended up shopping (yeah!!)

First stop was to Wheelock epicentre to have a look at my xmas present. We're looking for a player that can play ipod music, has a alarm clock as well as snooze functions, after all the short-listing, it came down to iboom or iluv. i think WW kinda settled for iluv for my pressie coz it's the best among the lot that suits my criteria. But, let's see what I'll get for xmas, maybe it'll be something else totally different?

We proceeded to Dollz Inc, which I haven't been to in AGES. I was suddenly caught by Blythe Fever, it's been so long since I last looked at blythes. I almost got Angelica Eve selling @ $180 but had to refrain myself from doing so, since I have packed all my dollies in my wardrobe and I may not display them out. Here's how pretty Angelica Eve looks:

Thus, after I managed to get over the big Blythe temptation, I got myself a lovely Blythe notebook & a mini Sonny Angel (animal series 2). I got a Paraket Angel, out of all things! He reminds me of those Indian fortune-tellers who uses parakets to pick up your destiny card. WW promised to accompany me to Sunshine Plaza to see if I can get to choose my next Sonny Angel. Sunshine Plaza has a good reputation for letting buyers see what's inside the boxes by indicating which characters you will get. I hope to get Fawn/Reindeer/Sheep next!

2nd day of Wireless

I take back my words on the comment that wireless is useless. Coz silly me, while fixing the router yesterday, made a mistake by attaching the network cable to my VAIO, when it was completely unnecessary. Just 1 cable was needed to attach the SCV cable to the internet port of the router! So, wireless is completely useful!! Right now, I am blogging in the living room, surfing Cozycot and watching tellie at the same time, which is the perfect combination!

As for my VAIO, I have no complains at all. On top that it's pretty, it's really fast and easy to use. It has a built-in webcam as well, which I just played around with for fun. Wonderful, I love my VAIO!

So, I promise to blog more often and keep u guys updated on my daily happenings :)

Sony VAIO CR23 - I finally got it!

Today I made a final decision to finally buy a laptop!! Since the Syntech exhibition is on at the Expo, and the VAIO package was pretty attractive with good freebies, I finally bought a white VAIO. Was thinking of getting it in pink, but the additional bundle of the laptop & mouse in pink for an additional of $99 was out of stock, so I decided to go for my initial choice - white colour. Bought a Linksys router too, to activate wireless..but seems that it's not really needed since I am only using 1 comp at home. But the router has indeed boosted the speed of surfing, or maybe that's due to the higher speed of the comp as compared to my Dell comp for work.

So now, I'm a complete member of the online community when I'm at home, finally!

Dempseys - PS Cafe

Yesterday it was an all girl's night out @ Dempseys with xw, ll & hx. Initital plans were purely wine, but we were distracted by dessert. Here's the BIG sin of the night - Chocolate Blackout Cake with Vanilla ice-cream. It's really gigantic, 4 of us shared it and we could only manage to complete half of it! I wish the ice-cream scoop was bigger though, to complement the big chocolatey fellow. Our plan is to go back for brunch to sample the carrot cake and the rest of the wonderful desserts soon. Yeah, can't wait!

Hi guys, my apologies for not updating in such a long while.

Not sure what to write about for now; just to let you all know that I'm still alive and kicking!! I've not disappeared...and am not giving up on this blog. I will write soon with pics, I promise.

Another First Time...

Today I woke up with a particular excitement and a little bit of nostalgia...today I will be opening a brand new chapter in my life: I will be signing my employment contract for my new job at 11am. A little nervous, excited, happy, relieved, worried all mixed up inside me now. I tend to have butterflies in my stomach when I'm going to face an important event or meeting which is important to me. So, right now I'm bracing myself to be strong and face the oncoming with courage and hope.

After 3 years and 5 months, I have to move on to a better job - in terms of monetary, career development and job satisfaction. It was a tough decision, as my new job will be of a sales nature, and I will have to be extremely self-motivated and be confident of the product and myself. My new conpany is extremely confident in me; even through the 1 week of consideration, I mentioned to the Director that I'm not sure if I can do it, she emailed and told me personally that she believes I will excel and do well. I had originally intended to reject the offer as the basic salary was $200 lower than my current's, and she even pushed it up to match my current's. Commission-wise, their scheme is way more attractive than my current job. Her strong belief in my capabilites and her sincerity in getting me to join moved me into making this major decision to move on.

It's time to go outside and explore the unknown, for I believe in myself and that nothing is impossible, as long as I put my heart and soul in it.

For all you out there who are scared of taking that big step, do not be afraid. Write down the pros & cons of each decision (Cecilia taught me this), take time for yourself, talk it through with your close friends and family members and most importantly, never ever think that the current is enough. Things change and people need to change with them as well. We'll never know what will happen next but these tiny steps will help us into venturing into a better future - Believe in it & yourself!

Welcome ALF: Our darling Cavalier King Charles Spaniel!!

My mum bought Alf, a 3-months old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel yesterday!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited that I couldn't sleep the whole night yesterday! We bought him at Ericcson Pet Farm in Pasir Ris yesterday. The whole idea of my mum actually agreeing and buying a dog is so surreal, I still cannot believe it's happening!!!

He's still not at my place yet, as we are unable to pick him up these few days. He'll only be home on Thursday, we'll pick him up 11am. He is a pure Australian pedigree, with microchip inplanted and 2 jabs and health screens done. We'll only need to bring him for 1 more jab. He costs $1,550 ($1575 after GST). There were 2 other families who wanted to buy him, so we actioned fast!! He's really gentle and quiet, and he loves to be cuddled. A perfect lapdog! He was immediately tagged with a yellow ribbon after we've confirmed buying him; which Jon makes a joke that it's as if he's enrolled in the Yellow Ribbon Project in Singapore - the program that encourages society to accept ex-convicts in the working world. It's as if he's being let out of his little cage prison and is accepted into the wonderful world of us!!! :)

I sincerely apologise for the long absence; last I checked, my Flobberbox had even died on me. There have been quite mega changes for me these past couple of months. If you are one of those (namely, SP, YQ, WW and CP) who are still visiting my blog, thanks for your support! I guess most of my 'readers' consist only of you guys..haha :)

I believe everyone has a hobby, or the worse of a hobby: obssession, and seeing, touching, buying and using all these beautiful makeup makes me happy, REALLY happy. I remember tokking to Cecilia about 'Happy Anchors' - something that makes us happy and satisfied. I'm really sure that one of my Happy Anchors is my cosmetics! What's yours? :)

Hepburn fever

Last weekend, I was struck with Hepburn fever. Seizing the 20% discount at Kino, I wanted to get a Hepburn autobiography, 'Hepburn Style'. But a pleasant surpise when there is a newer and very interesting autobiography that's out! It's filled with photos and replicas of articles such as playbills, letters, tickets and photos in pockets inserted in the book. I love the photos of her in this book, really inspires me. She's filled with such elegance and grace that is so infectious. I even bought a 3 DVD set, featuring Sabrina, Roman Holiday & of course, Breakfast at Tiffany's. I'm planning to enjoy these movies and the book, when I'm on leave from 14-Dec onwards. Really looking forward to those days - 10 more days of work left for 2006!

Today I was complaining to SP about how I feel so down and sian. I really dunno the reason...it's been like this for a long time, for like a few months already? SP said that this is the 25 years old crisis, aka The Quarter Life Crisis. At 25, she said, we will face problems from all aspects of our life - career, family, love & life in general. They even have a makeup desk for you to apply your makeup - Wonderful! I also like Ted Baker who's new to the fashion scene here. Gap was alright, I like their Baby Gap apparel the most.

And an announcement to say that Plaza Singapura (PS) has sunk to the bottom of my fav shopping places. Mainly because gg5 & Ness has moved out! I was so shocked when I went the other day for lunch, and found both of them gone. PS used to be my after-work shopping relaxant when I feel like going to gg5. But sad to say that it's no longer so.

Fancl TenseUp Ex

I bought Fancl's Collagen drink today! I got a $10 voucher from Fancl for updating my profile on their website today, and this came just in time when I had the craving to buy it! So, it cost me $60 for 10 bottles (usual is $70).

After trying Meiji's Amino collagen supplement, I strongly believe in the benefits of Collagen. Fancl's more convenient, without having to mix with any drink, but it's more expensive than Meiji's. I'll have to update on the collagen comparison, but I can comment on the taste for Fancl's...

It definitely tastes better when chilled. I finished 1 bottle in 3 big gulps. The taste is citrus, more on the sour side. But definitely bearable, and it's so convenient! Heard on Nu Ren Wo Zui Da that the molecules of the collagen in here are as small as those of our skin's, thus they are easier to be absorbed. There wasn't any mention of Meiji's in the program, but according to Niu-er, this is the best. Taken over 10 days, you can see the results - skin will be more supple, wrinkles filled up, makeup goes on more smoothly. The beauty advisor told me that it's best to consume for 10 days straight, and if you like the results, take it for a month, and continue from there.

I strongly believe the benefits of Collagen, as proven by Meiji's - and I'm really excited about this Fancl's one! The thing about Meiji's is that you have to mix it really well with drinks, esp orange juice, and if you don't mix it well, the powder becomes gluey and tastes kind of weird.

Thus, I'm choosing the easy way out with Fancl, hope it works! I'll definitely update on this subject soon!

The Curious Mind

The mind is a very curious object. It thinks on its own, and most times, it thinks of thoughts you don't want to or never thought you'll have. Especially so when you have insomnia. On the few nights that I can't get myself to sleep, I find myself entering into a world of my thoughts. I'll think and think until I will have an anxiety fit or I'll suddenly open my eyes in shock/fear. This kind of thinking is worse than dreams....coz dreams, they are definitely not real. But thoughts....they origin from the very thing you are thinking of, and they will become better or for worse. On these nights, I'm always thinking of more negative than positive thoughts. And I hate it.

On the other hand, I like day-dreaming, coz the thoughts are positive! There are lots of things to daydream about, like having millions of $$$, your future husband/marriage, wonderful food, better career, a BIG house.....Now I'm daydreaming!

I'm a Skin Food addict

I admit I am officially a Skin Food addict. I thought my craze for it was over, following the period in June where I had bought countless products from there, until I had nothing more to buy each time I go. Last week, I went there a total of 3 times! The 1st time, I was just planning to go to Raffles City Shopping Centre to get some things for my project, when I saw they had a new range of skincare! It was Peach Sake, the packaging was beautiful and who can resist a wonderful oil-controlling peach-smelling skincare product???!!!! As I was out of my daytime skincare, I bought the Peach Sake Pore Serum, as well as the Peach Sake Pore Moisturizer. I was amazed at how quickly the products were absorbed; I need a fast & effective skincare in the morning, got not enough time as it is! They have a wonderful smell, and the packaging is just so pretty!

In the spirit of the moment, I also bought their Honey Black Tea Jelly Foam (for cleansing), and Vita Juice Hand Essence (absorbs fast, no stickiness); also my favourite make-up remover, Milk Shake Point Make-up Remover (really, really effective in removing heavy eye make-up, non-oil base).

When I went for lunch at Out of the Pan with Irene on Friday, I went to Skin Food again. I was aghast with shock that she has not gone there before! She bought 2 sheets of face masks for her boyfriend, and I bought a Banana & Flower Baby Cream for myself. The cream leaves me smelling like a baby (actually this range is FOR babies...hehe) and absorbs really fast, which is good, as I don't like the sticky feeling of lotions.

When I went again (!) on Saturday, I made Jon get the Seaweed skincare range (Seaweed Toner & Seaweed Emulsion) for men's, and the products seem to be really good for him. I also got a re-stock of my Coffee Body Scrub. I think I am obsessed, from the beautiful packaging to the effectiveness of the products, Skin Food has got me hooked! Clarins Tummy Trim treatment + Body Redefining is G.O.O.D!

I went for my long-anticipated Clarins body treatments yesterday evening; I had a Tummy Trim treatment (which is their new service) & a Body Redefining treatment. It was a really pampering experience (I felt like a princess!); when I reached there, they brought me around on a tour of their Institut of Clarins. They have about 12 treatment rooms for their facial & body treatments (no wonder it was so darn hard to book an appointment) and they have a shower room if you would like to take a bath after your treatment. The Institut, located at the 5th level of Wheelock Place is like a haven on its own. It has a calming, clean and soothing atmosphere, and has a lounge where your boyfriend can chill out while waiting for you. Even the ladies' is like a grand hotel's one, with warm hand towels and elaborate utilities and products available for usage.

When I was brought into my room, named Orange (all their rooms are named after the plants & fruits used in their products), I felt immediately pampered. The room big and cozy, with an attached bathroom. My therapist, Wendy, showed me my 'room' for the session, for the session, you will have to take out your clothes and wear a disposable 'thong'. After I was left to take out my 'robes', I was advised to lie on the bed, which was heated. Then, my session began. First, the tummy trim treatment which is 45mins, consists of continuous massage on the abdominal area to break down the stubborn & sluggish fats & to tone the abdomen. During the massage, the therapist commented that I was one of the slimmest clients she has worked on, asked me why I was there for...hahaha i told her I was slimmer before and just feel really flabby now. So, she said she will help me work on my problem areas more.

After the treatment, it felt really good, I feel really light and my tummy does indeed feel tighter, my spare tyre at the side disappeared, which is amazing. I signed up for 4 more tummy trims (once a week) at $320, and in the meantime, I am continuing to apply the Total Body Lift & Body Shaping Cream at home. I can't wait to see the results after the whole therapy!

Went to do a little shopping after work today! Bought 2 products from Kose's Happy Bath Day range - Hair Cologne ($12 after discount) & Body Soap ($15.20) . The hair cologne was much raved about in taiwanese programs and I was delighted to find that Watsons' is stocking this range again (it went missing for a while in stores) and they are on 20% discount too! I'm a sucker for rose scents, so i'm very happy with my buys!

Also bought Shea Butter Hair Mask from Skin Food ($27.50). I used it just now, and its creamy texture really works for my dry hair. I can feel that my hair is smoother and feels stronger. This mask is great for dry and fragile hair.

Abigail Chay

yesterday night i watched Life Story, Abigail Chay's story. i was really touched by the contents of the show.

the summary of the show is:
although 'she' was born a boy, 'she' has always wanted to be a woman. 'she' feels that 'she' is a woman trapped in a man's body. when 'she' finally told her parents 'she' wants to be a woman, her dad even gave her $6000 (money he got from his insurance payout) to go for the sex change surgery. when 'she' finally became a woman, she wanted to get married to her boyfriend whom she was dating at that time. after their 'ceremony', her boyfriend felt that everything was not right, and broke up with her.

later on, she got cheated of $48k and was nearly forced to marry a malaysian, who was willing to pay her debt for the Singapore PR. but she refused to ROM with him in the end, she didnt want to marry someone who she doesnt love.

the most touching part of the story is how much her parents love her, no matter who she is or who she becomes. at the end of the show, she said that by telling her story here, she has no worries about emotional blackmail, no longer afraid of people threatening to reveal her secret anymore.

i was very touched by her courage and her parents' love for her. i've read many articles about how lesbians/gays have been rejected by their parents just because they like a different kind of person. so her story was especially touching. she is so brave to reveal this side of her; who can imagine the pain and agony she has to go through when she first appeared in the acting scene. people were paying attention to her because she is not 'pretty' and not like the typical actress-material girl.

i really respect her for standing up and telling her story. different people have really different lives, some are better, some are average while some are bad. i feel really blessed that mine is very good, in my own standards. =)

Strip & Browhaus

i went for my Brazilian waxing at Strip (Wheelock) on Fri. My usual therapist was on leave, and another girl did for me. they have a new numbing cream that reduces the pain by 50%, which is really effective i feel! at $25, it can be deducted off my package, i readily agreed when she told me of this cream. but her skills were not as good as my therapist, she had to do the waxing longer than i thought. and the worse part, was that when i walked out of the place, i found strips of wax on my shin, i have no idea how the wax went there!! i went back to complain, and luckily one of the recep girls gave me oil to clean the wax off. bizarre..but it firmed my mind to look for my therapist specifically in the future.

because i had no time to go to Rupini's (Litle India) to thread my eyebrows, i went to Browhaus, which was next door to Strip to check out the threading. it was rather expensive, i feel. they charged $15, while at Rupini's, it's only $5!! but as i was desperate to get my extremely overgrown brows shaped in place, i gave Browhaus a try. it was an Indian girl who did it for me (which made me think of Rupini's...), she was good in shaping the brows for me, which was good. coz the worrying thing when i go to Rupini's is that each time you go, a random girl will thread for you, and there was a time when the girl threaded my brows thinner than i wanted.

the experience at Browhaus was that they keep hard-selling you to sign up for their package. the girl even asked me to lighten my brows, i'm not sure how they do it there...but the only thing that came in my head when she said that was: haven't she heard of eyebrow pencil and eyebrow mascara?? Extremely weird. they asked me to sign for their $100 package (which is sharable with friends), and when i said no need, they told me to sign $50 'student package' (not sharable). apparently it wasn't important if you are/aren't a student to buy this package, they just want your Money. because i know of Rupini's, i was very firmed on my mind not to be taken in by them. the important thing to do when you are rejecting these offers is to be nice and polite, tell them that you will think about it; ask your friend first.

i signed up a package at Strip because it is a need for me, and i can foresee myself doing Brazilians in a long time. it feels so comfortable after the waxing and i like the whole un-fuzzed look and feel.

i'm flying off to Hong Kong on Monday, which is making me really excited and happy! my bag's all packed and ready to go!!! see ya when i'm back, with pics of my goodies, yeah? =)

Today was my dear colleague, Rezal's last day. The short notification came as a shocking news, usually it's a month's notice but as he is going to work for a competitor company, he had to leave earlier than expected.

When the news and reality set in after we went out for lunch (with my boss), I had really sad and strong feelings. These feelings exploded when I was writing in his farewell card. I cried silently. It's silly, you may say, as he will still be in Singapore and we can always see him around..but it's the amazing bond we've found over the 1 & 1/2 years that caused my sadness. Someone whom I see every day that I'm at work, who has helped in solving problems and who is already a good friend rather than a colleague.

It's amazing how work binds people together, for better or for worse. The best colleagues are those who listen, who give support, gives valuable advice and who trust you no matter what. I hope I'm like that to those of my closet friends at work...

yo peepz, i'm back! back from the hospital, back from resting, back to work!!

not sure who's gonna read this, but i'm sure sewping is!! (do leave a comment if you are reading this right now!)

few things to update:

1. about my condition -
the stitches had been removed for 2 weeks now, the doc said there were like 15 stitches he did for me, and that the stitches were even done underneath the skin so as to reduce scarring. right now, there is a broad red line of about 5cm across, just above my right hips. under the line, the flesh feels hard (it's been like that since i removed the stitches). i have to clean the wound with an alcohol swab day & night; apply this antiseptic powder in the morning and massage in a cream at night.

now i am back to normal life, except that i try not to eat seafood and not carry heavy things. walking is not a problem at all. i try to wear skirts as much as possible, because pants restrict the hips area and sometimes it hurts when i sit for too long.

so, the good news is that i'm back to work, back to life!! this is definitely worth celebrating man.

2. about jon -
he's started work in a new agency now, for close to a month now. glad he is settling down well, and that there are not so much of late nights and burnt weekends this time round. but if he needs to do that for his work, i'm fine with that. i've learnt to entertain myself pretty well!

Recovering from Appendicitis...

Dear friends, if you don't know this already, I was admitted into East Shore Hospital last Wednesday night (5/4) for acute appendicitis. I was operated on by Dr. Y C Lee on Thursday afternoon (6/4). I was discharged on late Sunday afternoon (9/4).

It was a scary and traumatic experience being pushed into the operating theatre (OT, as they call it in the hospital). I was dressed in the operating gown an hour before the scheduled operation for anesthetic preparations. I can still vividly remember the scene when I was in the OT - I was lying down on the operating bed, with the lights shining on me. There were about 3 nurses and the anesthetician, Dr. Tan, in the OT at that time.

I remember I was so afraid of what was going to happen that I started tearing. The nurses were very kind, and I remember one of them talking to me, wiping my tears away and assuring me that it will be alright. A while later, Dr. Lee came in and the anesthetician came and placed a oxygen mask over me and asked me to fall asleep if I feel like sleeping. Within a few seconds, I was asleep and when I woke up (about 2 hours later), I was being pushed back into my ward. When I went into my ward, my parents, Jon and some of my colleagues were there. I was in a daze after that. On one hand, I was glad that it was over but on the other, the pain set in. I continued to be on liquid medication (the medicine was pushed into me through the drip needle).

The nurses at the hospital were all very kind and caring, always coming into the ward to check on me and making sure that everything was fine with me.

I am very glad that the whole experience is over, and that everything went well with the operation. I went back to the hospital today for a change of dressing, and I will be on MC until 21/4. Next Tuesday (18/4), I will be able to remove the stitches, and I can't wait for that.

I am very grateful to my parents and Jon for caring so much about me throughout this period of time, they always made sure someone was with me all the time. Thanks to all who have visited me in the hospital, I really really appreciate all your concern.

I received a flyer from Isetan today, about the Tres Dior limited edition set. Looks alluring and tempting, i think the pink pouch is the main culprit.

The whole set consists of (as said in the flyer):

The price gave me a shock! But i guess you are really paying for the Dior bag if you get this set. My fav item in this set will be the bag, of coz, & Miss Dior Cherie. Guess i will advise that you go down and have a look at how big the bag is before considering spending on this.

I've already got 2 cosmetic pouches from Dior, one in pink checks (which i love!) and a smaller one in blue checks. i still prefer checks to their logomania collection, so think i will skip on this.

Beauty class 1: How to Clean Makeup Brushes & Sponges?

Fact: Make-up brushes are used very closely with your face, and thus should be kept as clean as possible. They can carry lots of dirt and bacteria with them, thus frequent washing (once a week is highly recommended) of your brushes will keep them and your face - clean and healthy.

Tip - Most make-up brushes are made of animal hair; the most common and better choice is pony hair. Most brands such as MAC, Bobbi Brown and Chanel use good quality pony hair for their brushes. The difference between the cheaper and more expensive brands, I feel, is the quality of hair that they use. You will tend to find that cheaper brushes go on rougher on your skin than those expensive ones. Blusher brushes, eyeshadow brushes and most brushes used on the face use pony hair. However, for cream eyeshadow brush and lip brush, they are made of synthetic hair. This ensures that the colour of the eyeshadow/lipstick picks up on the brush for your application.

What to use: Personally, I prefer Bobbi Brown's Conditioning Brush Cleanser (S$25). It works like a gentle shampoo for the brushes and your brushes become much softer (like your hair after conditioning). The cleanser gives a good lather, and is easy to rinse off. MAC also has a Brush Cleanser. There is also a choice of using baby shampoo to wash the brushes; but Bobbi Brown works on this gentle-cleansing theory.

How-to (brushes):
1. Run the bristles of the makeup brushes under lukewarm running water. Water at normal temperature works fine too, but if lukewarm water is used, it has a bacteria-killing effect.

2. Squeeze a small amount of cleanser (about the size of a 50cent coin) on your hand. How much cleanser that you use depends on how big is the brush you are washing; I usually use more for the blusher brush.

3. Dip the damp bristles of the brush into the cleanser and draw in circles to get a good lather. If you are doing this for the 1st time, you will be very amazed to see how dirty and colourful your brushes are! Don't be shocked.

4. Using very gentle force, press off the colours from your brush and rinse with water.

5. Continue steps 2 & 3 until no colour leaves the brush. Then, gently press the brush with your fingers to squeeze out the excess water.

6. Gently press the brushes into shape if need be.

7. Lay the brushes down to air-dry. DON'T put the brushes in a container standing up, if you do this, the brushes will open up like a fan!

Tip - After all your cleansing work, please do lay your brushes on pieces of tissue or a clean towel. If not, the brushes may be dirty yet again.

How to (face sponges): Yes, those sponges that you use to apply your 2-way foundation cake can be cleaned!

1. Wet the sponge with running water (lukewarm if possible).

2. Press a few times of hand soap on the sponge.

3. Using your fingers, press into the sponges. At this point, you will see that your foundation residue on the sponges will be coming out as brown water!

4. Repeat 2 & 3 until the sponge is back to its original white colour!

Watched 'Memoirs of a Geisha' yesterday with Sew Ping. It was alright i feel, i give it a rating of 7/10. despite the comments i've heard about the show being slow/boring/draggy, it turned out to be pleasant to watch. Maybe coz i've read the book before; watching the movie reminds and brings to life the scenes when i was reading the book. You should go watch it if you have read the book and liked it, it won't disappoint you!

CNY was 4 continuous days of feasting non-stop and eating CNY goodies until i almost burst. CNY, had reunion dinner @ hai tien lo, a 6-course meal which turned out to be exceptionally special and good.

on the 1st day, went to jon's place for visiting in the morning. and watched Fearless in the afternoon.

2nd day i stayed at home the whole day, relatives and friends (AP & CY) came - thanks buddies!

3rd day - went to jon's grandma's place in the late afternoon and went to AP's new place for visiting. had quite a good time of playing blackjack, but didnt win that much after the last round! everyone bet like 6 or 10 bucks for the last round and i only got 18 points, not enough to win! but heng i got win quite a fair bit in the previous rounds, and so i was back to my original state with additional 3 bucks of winnings.

so now it's over and done with the CNY feasting and i REALLY need to lose weight!!! havent been to yoga class for the past 2 weeks, and feeling the impact of that laziness...p/s: Sew ping: we really need to start going weekly from next week!!!!!!

After a crazy and very stressful week, the lovely weekend is here again! and it comes with a bonus too - 2 extra days off, all thanks to the beloved CNY!!! it's definitely a time to rejoice and have a really good time pigging out. I have new bedsheets now and it's amazing to see how my mum still fusses over all the CNY 'things-to-do", such as:

- 'Chue Huat Kway' (loosely translated as Steam Prosperity Cakes)
- Fill up the whole coffee table with CNY goodies & the fridge is full of canned drinks! i am beginning to rekindle my love for CNY goodies now, maybe becoz i didnt really eat much of them the past couple of years. My fav is Bengawan Solo's "Sugee Cookies" - i buy them personally every year.
- Reunion dinner. this year we are going out to eat our dinner, a 1st. saves my mum lotsa trouble and preparation. Can't wait to go to Hai Tien Lo at PanPac for the dinner, it's been a long time since we had a proper meal together.

So, that's basically it. My plans are sorta planned out in my head for the next few days:
28/1 (Sat) - Maybe do some last-minute shopping. Sales are still on!
29/1 (Sun) - Chu-yi: Visiting day. To go: Jon's place, some of my relatives' places
30/1 (Mon) - Chu-er: Staying at home, relatives and friends visiting my place
31/1 (Tue) - Chu-san: Maybe friends-visiting

In Her Shoes

I watched In Her Shoes today with Irene & Sew Ping. Cameron Diaz looks amazing with her very-toned body! The story differs a little from the book itself, but still very nicely done. It was not a disappointment at all. I especially like the part where grandma Ella gave Rose her wedding shoes...."Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed & Something Blue". The movie has a few scenes that were truly touching and worth your tears. This is one of those shows that I will buy the DVD for, and watch it over and over again.

I finally got going with my CNY clothes shopping. (As if I needed any excuse for buying clothes!) Bought an empire-cut dress, the only one which I dont look pregnant in & a top from INC. Just felt like buying some new stuff and it's been ages since I bought anything from Far East....

Oh ya! And I finally got my Majolica Majorca (http://www.shiseido.co.jp/mj/index.htm) order in place already! Yippee finally the lovely makeup is within my reach, thanks to cozycotter haru!!!!! A total of 3 eyeshadow palettes, 2 mascaras, 3 single eyeshadows, 2 lip gloss & 2 eyeliners - is coming to me soon!!! i am so super happy, hopefully will get them in the next 2 weeks =)

To my mum: Be happy always, don't think so much about everything!

Today's my mum's birthday, she had a big party at home with lots of her friends around. She even opened 2 mahjong tables! Can you believe it? My cousin came with my niece - Chloe and my nephew - Adam with my uncle & auntie. It was chaotic! My mum stayed in the mahjong room most of the time (coz mahjong is her passion!) while I played with Chloe and Adam in my room. They are such cuties and so happy (all kids should be like this happy).

On another topic, my weekend was great! Had my fav Korean Chicken Bulgogi on Friday at Manna Korea - the only reason why I will go and squeeze with the crowd at Taka food court. It's the best Korean restaurant ever!

I bought a pair of lovely purple wedges (my only pair of wedges) at Isetan for only $29. This is my CNY shoe!

I went to Sun Yan Zi's concert on Saturday with Irene. The concert's good! The only thing is that the atmosphere is not high enough! I couldn't manage to get good shots of the concert..they are a little muffled-looking.

After-effects of Perm

i realised i had to make a few adjustments after doing my perm:

1. i can't use hair-dryer to blow my hair anymore. even though i blow it in the reverse direction (from the root upwards), the curls will disappear! that was what happened to me after washing my hair last night. i had to blow my hair at night, and when i woke up this morning, my hair became straight! i got a terrible shock, and decided to wet the whole head and fortunately, the curls re-appeared! heng ah ^o^

2. i will have to wash my hair in the morning. instead of my almost-25 years of washing hair at night, i will have to do this in the morning, from tomorrow onwards. which is a good and bad thing at the same time. not washing hair at night will save me lots of time and effort (no need to dry hair anymore). but, i will have to wake up extra early in the mornings to wash my hair (lesser sleeping/lazing in bed time!).

3. there will be no more need to fuss about the hair anymore!! previously, i have to decide if i want to tie my hair, and the most minimal i will have to do is to wax the fringe. now there is no need for this! although i will use the Lucido souffle hair wax (for my new permed hair usage) in the office, it is of minimal effort. this is a super plus point!

so, on the whole, i am super satisfied with my new hairstyle! comments i have heard: hip, modern, jappy, korean, pretty. heng there are no "auntie" comments.

but to look good with perm hair i will have to fore-warn: you should have coloured your hair before perming. if your hair is totally black, it will look 'auntie-ish'. however, if you are very fair, this look will pull off (eg, Big S).

AND also, you will need to put in effort in make-up and dressing. without these 2 factors, no matter how nice your perm is, you will look 'auntie-ish'. a good hair-stylist is very important, ask me if you need my stylist's contact (if you like mine) or ask someone else's whom you think her perm is nice.

very happy to end off a Thursday night, tomorrow is Friday (TGIF!!!!). the wonderful thing is on Sat, i will be going for Sun Yan Zi's concert! *Yippee!!!*

New Year Resolutions 2006

i realised i have not noted down my new year resolutions for this new year! and the year has already began!!!!!! (does this mean it's a bad start??!!??)

1. Go for my yoga class every week (at least once a week)
2. Eat healthily. In other words,
a) i shall not eat fully-fried food (eg, KFC) more than once a week.
b) i will make an attempt to eat 1 serving of fruit and vegetables a day.
c) i will have my breakfast (fav: cereal with milk) every morning.
3. Treat everyone better! Keep in touch with friends regularly.
4. Pay my bills fully and on time and save a decent amount ($200) every month - on top of all my expenses.
5. Organise my life (room, cupboard and Palm) in a proper manner.
6. Have a nice make-uped face before i go out for work or play. I shall not wear anything that will make me feel terrible or ugly when the day goes on.

Hope I will stick to my resolutions; they are effective as of today!

Jan - The usual, work
Feb - 5-Feb was Catherine's ROM and she went off to Perth with her husband soon after. There was CNY and my colleague, Jane, left the company.
Mar - I turned 24 on March-20!
Apr - Had training for new system for company. A memorable few days of feasting at Jumbo Seafood, Ban Seng Teochew Restaurant. Went Hong Kong with Sew Ping over the long weekend!
May - The usual
Jun - Went Hong Kong with baby from 6-Jun to 13-Jun
Jul - The usual
Aug - Watched Dim Sum Dollies with baby on 13-Aug. Started yoga at Whatever Yoga with Sew Ping. Won Roxy blythe lottery. Started this blog.
Sept - Went to Switzerland with my parents from 24-Sept to 4-Oct
Oct - The usual. Finally bought my Palm Z22.
Nov - Went to Oslo, Norway with colleagues for NHST Christmas party from 24-Nov to 28-Nov.
Dec - Went to Melbourne with baby to visit Cecilia & Peter. Lotsa shopping and feasting! Won Tommy February lottery.

Looking back, the year has passed by so fast! I haven't even got used to the days of 2005. I should really make down some resolutions for 2006 and things that I hope to achieve next year.

Welcome Tommy Feburary home!

I finally brought Tommy Feb home today after work, she has stayed in the office for too long. I opened her with great care, she turns out to be so much prettier than I remembered! Her box is very beautiful and when the door of the box is opened, I see her glam fuschia pink carpet-laid floor she's sitting on! I was very pleasantly surprised coz I've been waiting so long to get her, and when I got her and finally opened up to see her, the happiness was bursting out of me. I don't plan to open and take her out at all, when me and jon get our own place, she will have her own spot to shine. =)

Watched "Perhaps Love" this evening after work with Sew Ping & Irene. It is a brilliant show! Made my heart sank a couple of times and my eyes welled up with tears many times. This is a superb show worth watching a million times. Cinematography, scenery shots and the actress & actors have really portrayed the characters very well. Norway trip was great!!!

Oslo is very beautiful! Aside from the lack of snow, and the freezing temperatures, I had great fun meeting up with my 3 Norway blythe friends and my colleauges at NHST.

The trip there was gruelling, we took Qantas/British Airways, stopping over at Heathrow, London. 17 hours of full flight is no fun at all. I never like long flights and never will do, I think. My company has plans to go to Oslo again next year March for a seminar (at a ski resort, yippee!), can't wait for that to happen! hope things do work out well until then. =)

Switzerland 10 Days Tour

I am going to Switzerland with my parents next week!!! Can't wait for that! I'll be leaving next Sat evening and will reach Singapore on the following Mon evening. It'll be such a wonderful trip and I'm really looking forward to it!! =)

About my blythes, I am still debating on who to bring on my trip! Maybe Groovy Groove or Pow Wow?? Still undecided...will post my pics when I get back.

My itinerary:

Day 1: Singapore - Zurich (D) (24-Sept-2005, Saturday)
Assemble at Changi International Airport for your flight via Doha to Zurich in Switzerland. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel with dinner stop along the way.

Day 2: Zurich (D)
Upon arrival, a city tour of this beauiful city before checking into the hotel to get some well deserved rest after a long flight.

Day 3: Zurich - Bern - Interlaken (B/D)
After breakfast, your tour will begin with a visit to Berne - a city orientation drive round the capital of Switzerland. During the journey, we will get to enjoy the scenic view of the surrounding land where it boasts of its villages and mountain views - from the pine scented mountain forests to the shores of calm Alpine lakes and to the ice-blue glaciers. Welcome to the world without cars. Electric cars and horse-drawn sleighs and carriages are the only transport allowed. It promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Day 6: Interlaken - Schaffhausen - Titisee (B/D)
This morning, we’ll proceed to Schaffhausen - a place where you can combine culture and nature. It has beautiful unique river scenery and the guild and bourgeois houses with richly adorned bay windows g ives Schaffhausen a unique appearance. Afterwhich, we’ll head to Titisee for a city orientation drive. Titisee is well known for its unique and scenic German village for its famous Black Forest cake and the Cuckoo Clocks. At Titisee, we will get to see the beautiful Lake Titisee embraced by the Black Forest Trees. Stay over night in Titisee.

Day 7: Titisee - Lucerne (B)
Lucerne is the country’s most popular tourist destination, filled with charming medieval structures and shopping opportunities galore. Upon your arrival, tour the city visiting the sorrowful sculpture of the dying lion, hewn out of a limestone to commemorate those Swiss guards who died at the battle of the Tuileries. Take a stroll across the Chapel Bridge to visit the Jesuit Church before dispersing for shopping on your own. We shall retire at Lucern for the night.

Day 8: Lucerne (B)
The whole day is put aside for your own leisure activities and last minute shopping. Can join optional tour.

Day 9: Lucerne - Zurich - Singapore (B)
After breakfast, check out of hotel and transfer to the airport for your morning flight back to Singapore.

Day 10: Arrive Singapore (3-Oct-2005, Monday)
Arrive in Singapore with fond memories of a wonderful tour to Switzerland.
